She has done her MBBS from JSS Medical College, Mysore followed by MS from JJM Medical College, Davangere, Karnataka.
Dr Dutt did her senior residency from Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi.
She has also done her fellowship in Cornea & Anterior Segment from Dr Shroff Charity Eye Hospital.
She has also done several paper & poster presentations at national and international conferences.
She has performed approximately 2000 surgeries till date.
Her areas of specializations are - Phacoemulsification surgeries for Cataract, SICS, ECCE, Femto Cataract, Corneal surgeries, Ocular surface and refractive surgeries like LASIK, PRK, PTK etc.
Dr Surabhi has her research paper titled “Clinical study of the visual results after PCIOL implantation in paediatric cataract surgery” submitted as thesis under the supervision of Dr. C.S. Hiremath, Professor, Ophthalmology, J J Medical College, Davangere (2006-2009), Karnataka.
She is a member of multiple professional bodies some of them being Cornea Society of India (CSI), Eye Bank Association of India (EBAI), All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), Delhi Ophthalmological Society (DOS).
